Fitch SMASH Seminars: Indian Land MMA Public Seminar & Private Small Group
I went out to South Carolina during the summer of 2020 to teach some violence. One of my old Bjj training buddies, Chris Coldiron, moved out that way and asked me to come out and teach. I taught a 2-hour seminar to his regular students, and I did a private small group lesson for his professional fighters. The regular student seminar covered some basic wrestling from the feet and techniques that smash the turtle guard.
In the private small group, I let the fighters ask questions about how I do things. The focus of their interest was how I close the distance and force the clinch or takedown. I call this process fitting in. I like to get my opponents to commit to something, and when they do, it gives me the chance to fit in, like a puzzle piece.
